About Victor Durnil, LCPC, CSAT
I am passionate about my work with my clients and believe that no matter how difficult the immediate situation may be, there is a manageable path to feeling better. I enjoy working with diverse issues, but particularly enjoy my work with men, addiction issues, and helping people heal from past trauma.
I am trained in EMDR and other trauma treatment methods, and have an extensive background in working with domestic violence and sexual abuse issues. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, and client-centered environment for change.
I specialize in the treatment of sex addiction, love addiction, and other intimacy-based disorders, as well as substance abuse and codependency. I have received extensive training from Dr. Patrick Carnes, the foremost authority on sex addiction treatment. I hold the CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist) and CMAT (Certified Multiple Addiction Therapist) certifications from the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals.
I provide structured, supportive, and individualized care. At the Boise Counseling Center, I am in practice with other therapists who also specialize in treatment of sexual addiction issues, allowing us to work with the family system as part of comprehensive treatment. We provide a unique level of support to our clients, their partners, and families in one convenient location.
